Bahman Arasteh, Tebriz'de doğmuştur. 2014 yılında, İran’ın Tahran kentinde bulunan İAU Üniversitesi Bilim ve Araştırma Şubesi’nden Bilgisayar Mühendisliği (Yazılım Mühendisliği) alanında doktora derecesini almıştır. İstanbul, Türkiye'deki İstinye Üniversitesi Yazılım Mühendisliği Bölümü'nde Doçent Doktor olarak görev yapmaktadır. Yazılım mühendisliği ve yapay zekâ alanlarına yaptığı önemli katkılar sayesinde, araştırma etkisi ve atıflara dayalı olarak Stanford Üniversitesi tarafından 2024 yılında "Dünya Çapında En İyi %2 Bilim İnsanı" arasında gösterilmiştir. Çalışma alanları arasında yazılım mühendisliği, yapay zekâ, yazılım testi ve yazılım güvenliği yer almaktadır.
