Handan Kulan,  Faculty Member, PhD

Dr. Handan Kulan 30 Ağustos 1989 Eskişehir doğumludur. Lisans derecesini Yeditepe Üniversitesi Genetik ve Biyomühendislik Bölümünden birincilikle, çift anadal yaptığı Bilgisayar Mühendisliği bölümünden ikincilikle mezun olarak almıştır. Sabanci Üniversitesi Bilgisayar Bilimi ve Mühendisliği Dr. Handan Kulan was born on August 30, 1989 in Eskişehir. She graduated from Yeditepe University Genetics and Bioengineering Department with first place and Computer Engineering department, where she did a double major, with second place. By successfully passing the written and oral exams, she received a scholarship from Sabancı University Computer Science and Engineering Graduate program. In her master's studies, she analyzed the interaction between amino acids by creating network structures. She completed doctoral degree by receiving Kadir Has University scholarship and Tübitak Bideb doctoral scholarship. During her doctorate, she worked as a software specialist at THY Technology Department. She has done doctoral studies on the analysis of proteins that are effective in the learning processes of individuals with Down Syndrome. After completing doctoral studies, she worked as an Assistant Professor in the Software Engineering Department of Beykoz University and then continues to work in the Software Engineering Department of Üsküdar University. Her studies are focused on data analytics, artificial intelligence, business analytics and neuroscience.
